Major Faux Pas From Mayor Bloomberg and MAIG

Boston Bomber "Speed Bump" Tsarnaev's name was on a list of gun victims compiled by Mayors Against "Illegal" Guns.

It's one thing to pad the statistics of gun victims with criminals killed in self-defense or in the line of duty, but to put a known terrorist on the list was pure and unadulterated stupidity.

Holder Knew About Fast and Furious in March?

In what Rush Limbaugh called a "random act of journalism," John King of CNN discovered, and reported, that not only did Holder get memos about Fast And Furious in October 2010, he must have been asked, by Obama, whether he knew about it back in March.

So, let me work out the timeline here:

March 2010 - On CNN Espanol, Obama states:

Eric Holder has -- the attorney general has been very clear that he knew nothing about this. We had assigned an I.G., inspector general, to investigate it.

October 2010 - Lanny Breuer, Holder's deputy, chief of the Criminal Division, sends Holder a memo stating that prosecutors are ready to issue indictments for the Fast and Furious operation.

July 2010 - Director of the National Drug Intelligence Center, Michael Walther, sends Holder a memo that the straw buyers observed during the Fast And Furious program:

. . . are responsible for the purchase of 1,500 firearms that were then supplied to the Mexican drug trafficking cartels.

May 3, 2011 - When asked by Congressman Issa, in front of the House Judiciary Committee, Holder claims that he:

. . . probably heard about Fast And Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.

Earlier this week, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) subpoenaed the Justice Department to supply all documents and communications between Holder, his deputies, and the White House, regarding the Fast And Furious gun-running operation.

Although I tend to be pessimistic, I'm thinking that, in light of recent events, the chances of Obama getting re-elected are getting pretty slim.  If it comes out that the administration and the BATFE deliberately supplied firearms to the Mexican cartels, then NOBODY'S going to be happy about that.

Holder and the Fast And Furious Memos

I was hearing earlier today that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was sent memos about the ATF's Fast And Furious program back in July 2010.  I've just heard a little while ago, from CNN (on in the break room), that the Fast And Furious memos to Holder started back in October 2010.  This isn't looking good for Holder, given that when he told the House Judiciary Committee, in early May, that he had, "probably heard about Fast And Furious for the first time over the last few weeks."

Murder Free Month in Miami, FL

Remember how the media cried that the streets would run red with blood when Florida passed the nation’s first “Castle Doctrine” law? Maybe you’ve been around long enough to remember when they said the same when Florida started to allow concealed carry.

In October, 2008, there was a period of 35 days in Miami with zero murders. Something that hasn’t happened in 40 years.

To contrast that, in the messiah obama’s old stomping grounds, the city of Chicago, there were 134 murders during the period of January through April 2008. The number of American troops killed during the same period, in the whole country of Iraq, numbered 160. On one Chicago Friday night in 2008 there were 19 separate shootings. July 2008, there were 62 murders in Chi-town.

Obama's "Clean Coal"

I guess Obama's still got a few million dollars left over from the presidential campaign. I just saw him in another commercial, pushing "Clean Coal" energy.

Remember when the tree huggers were bitching about acid rain? Yeah, that was from coal. I guess they must have forgotten. May be related to the long bong hits at Berkley.

The EPA, certainly not the most conservative government agency, has already said that there's no such thing as "Clean Coal," and that emissions from coal power plants contain more CO2 than emissions from all the cars and trucks in the country.

I'm not trying to demonize coal, or electricity. I'm just trying to point out more left-wing propaganda.

Bush got beaten in media for 8 years for his ties to the oil industry. I guess Obama gets a free pass for pimping coal.

Guliani Dropped Out of the Race

Although it seems a bit premature, that's one more left-winger out of the way, and I'll shed no tears.

Now, if Romney* would drop out, and McCain^ would just say something incredibly stupid to turn everyone against him, gun owners just might stand a chance after November 2008.
