There's a pretty good article on steel-case .233 Remington ammo on the Cheaper Than Dirt Blog. I would just add that you probably want have a carbine buffer in the gun, as an "H" buffer or "H2" buffer may cause the action to run too sluggish with lower-powered ammo.

Ammunition, including the case should be softer than the material from which the barrel and action is manufactured and resistant to corrosion.
ReplyDeleteI think it should cost less as well. I get sticker shock every time I buy ammunition.
The steel cases used for ammunition are made of mild steel, and are softer than bolts or barrels which are all hardened steel.
