The Lancer L5 is the only plastic mag that does not crack or break. The feed lips are tough as nails, it even out preforms c-products aluminum mags during the drop test.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044269936797936986.post-35261177788033363582009-06-16T14:41:44.580-04:002009-06-16T14:41:44.580-04:00I wouldn't say that the magazine doesn't w...I wouldn't say that the magazine doesn't work without testing it. It might work very well. From most reports, they do work well.

For me though, I'd rather have a Magpul PMag with the windows, or even G.I., Brownells, or one of the stainless steel mags. I have to question the long-term durability of the Lancer mags and I'm not crazy about the follower. I'm not going to waste my (expensive) ammo live-fire testing them, when I have other new mags to test.

Command Arms has a new mag out with counter that tells you how many rounds are left in the mag. TangoDown will come out with a transparent or translucent mag at some point also. I don't know how well these will work or hold up, but they are, or will be, alternatives.Suburbanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17968005143620802878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044269936797936986.post-24076805617329893812009-06-16T12:10:41.046-04:002009-06-16T12:10:41.046-04:00I suppose I shouldn't question your testing pr...I suppose I shouldn't question your testing procedure since I work for Brownells and we make aluminum mags. But, before you condem that Lancer mag, please take it out and shoot it. Had a blogger "fail" our mags without shooting them and I spent a bunch of time explaining things to him.
Larry Weeks, larryw@brownells.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
